Web Mail

1. Web Mail Explained:

E-Mail can be accessed in basically one of two ways: By using your web browser (Internet Explorer or Firefox as an example) to access a webmail provider such as Gmail, Yahoo Mail or Hotmail  or your own Internet Service Providers web site.  The other way is to utilize a desktop email client or program that you install on your computer such as Microsoft Office Outlook, Outlook Express, Windows Mail, Windows Live Mail, Thunderbird or Incredimail,  just to name a few.

Webmail is where you use your browser and go to a web site to access your Email. It is an excellent option for those travelling or working outside the office. You can use any computer to access your Email anywhere in the world. All Internet Service Providers provide a Webmail link on their web site.

This is an example of accessing your Bigpond email by going directly to the Bigpond web site.
